Kindred Spirit Music was started in March 2020 amidst the global covid pandemic by Ian Grant and Paul Mitchell, who, whilst dealing with the confines of lockdown, decided to make the best use of their time and resources by creating music recordings with the help of the myriad musician friends they both had. With everyone being forced to stay at home,  musicians who had the means to record themselves could easily contribute to remote recordings which would be produced by Paul in his home studio. Ian's decades in the music industry managing acts such as The Stranglers, Big Country, The Dirty Strangers, The Cult, et al, meant he had a contact list consisting of hundreds of potential contributors. So the first Kindred Spirit recordings began with a rousing version of House of the Rising Sun in April 2020, with the culmination being our first commercial release, Think Loud 4 Parkinson's. A double vinyl with CD, the proceeds from which go to Cure Parkinson's, the London based charity committed to finding a cure to this debilitating disease which affects many, including our own Ian Grant.
